Craaaap. It just cost me $22 to send Ramona her Christmas present. It didn't even weigh ONE kilo! And it's not even guaranteed to arrive in Germany before Christmas. Fucking rip off.. I sure hope she gets it OK. It's so damn hot. I still want to see Harry Potter again.
Tilda came over yesterday, I can't believe she WALKED here all the way from her house. We bummed and watched Scrubs for a while, then at 12 Sara and I had to try and get U2 tickets. Ticketmaster have shocking internet AND phone services. The web page was down due to being busy which is understandable, but once we managed to get in, there was no link for the Brisbane show! What the fuck? It's really poor planning to put tickets on sale for three cities at the same time, on one website, with approximately 50,000 people expected to attend each separate event! The phone line was down; there wasn't even a holding service to wait for an operator or even a "press-the-button-to-move-to-the-next-alien-like-woman's-instruction" service, it didn't even ring. Sara finally found a solution; the arts and theatre line - Follow the prompts to get U2 tickets. *phew* The Sydney show sold out within an hour and tickets were being sold for about three grand. That's insane.
So in the afternoon Tilda and I went back to her house to watch movies. We had Ice-cream with Macca's fudge and then went and bought chicken nuggets, aeroplane jelly, slurpy fruit-in-a-tube and space food sticks. We watched Madagascar and some old episodes of Jerry Springer that she had on tape. I can't believe some people aren't locked up. It's just not normal for someone to think he's a dog, respond to the name "Muffin", walk around on all fours and drink from the toilet bowl. America. So very appealing.
Today I have done absolutely nothing except make cookies and wash the dishes. I might have to babysit tonight which I don't mind, because I absolutely love one of the girls, Emily who's five, but the other one, Selkie who's 8, shits me most of the time. She's just so difficult, but I can usually control her because she pretty much worships me.
I can't believe Christmas is so soon, and I still have so many presents to buy before the 17th which is when I'm going to Adelaide. I really, really don't like Christmas, because I'm not religious and it's so commercial. Every year it seems the same, but I hope it won't be because I've never spent one with my family in Adelaide. It'll be the first Christmas I'll ever have without Sara there. Is that a sign?
