So much for the Melbourne cultural mentality of being better than the rest of the country. Melbourne is obviously crap when it comes to caring about conserving water...

They usually do a swap over the counter...if you just go into their office. Although some water companies have stalls at local shopping centres and you can just take the old one in there and swap it.

You need to get one of these and set it so that she has her own pin number and it will only allow 5 minutes worth of shower each day :p

yeah, they had stalls but apparently that was only last month. then their website says something about the offer only being available to people with a letter, nfi what that is so evidently we didn't get one, or maybe we did and i just didn't see it. i dunno it's all sounding very tricky :p

That is really stupid to make it so difficult!

I bought one from Bunnings the other day that does 9L per minute for just $10

Technically you should try and find a 6L per minute one, but both Rhett and I only have 2-3 minutes showers (and only 1 each per day) so I got one that lets more water through. The ones that let less water through mean I end up having to double my shower time to get all the soap rinsed away!

hehe yeah, i'd have to get a 9L one i think, i only have one short shower a day so i don't want to suffer because of someone elses shower habits hehe

I think you need to combine a new showerhead with Peter's idea....if she is in there for more than 4 minutes a brick falls from the ceiling onto her head :D

knocking her unconscious, so the shower keeps running til i get home or she wakes up?

hmmm, OK, perhaps not such a good idea, unless the brick is rigged to a stop valve with a bit of rope, so it turns the shower off as it falls :D

Short term losses are acceptable if they lead to greater long term gains.

She will very quickly either get the message, develop a severe phobia of showers or be rendered incapable of showering without assistance, any of which would be a suitable outcome.
