You can do it! A few girls from my league recently did the Warrior Dash here. They usually get teams together for all of the local/whatever runs that happen. But, I'm a terrible runner and haven't ever participated lol. Not to mention that I hate waking up early, let alone waking up early enough on a Saturday hahah.
Have you ever heard of the Insanity work out? It's supposed to be really good for your core. My hubby recently snagged a copy from someone, so I'm hoping to start that soon.
I do try to do around 15-20 a day, although I'm part of a challenge on SPark people.com which wants me to do 300 this week, so I need to ramp them up. I really want to be able to work up to doing a full pull up...one day!

Do you do push-ups? I have found even doing, like, ten or twenty regularly seems to have an effect on my arms. And they're pretty easy to do.
It sounds like an epic race, do tell us how it goes as I'd love to hear!
A lot of races seem to have a nice team spirit in them, so I would think something like this definitely would.
