These kids are driving me nuts. Like literally. If there is any profession on earth that makes you question yourself in all possible senses - this is teaching. It's not only the question if you teach well or not that you keep asking yourself during another sleepless night thinking and rethinking the day that passed, it's also and more importantly the question of whether you are a good person, whether you are a clever person, whether you will make a great parent, whether you will make YOUR kid a good person. Because seriously, there are some examples when you wonder if they were brought up in the jungle.
One thing I learned from teaching - raising kids is the most difficult task in life, it's a full time job that demands impossible amount of mental strengh. If there is a moment in your life when you look at what you have created and you don't like it, you fail. Like total unquestionable and definitive failure. And there is no way you can change it.
