October Retailin'
Stores are setting up for Halloween. I went on my usual once-a-month shopping trip today. Bought a couple of necessaries and a few food items. On a whim, I picked up a tiny jar of Vegemite. We'll see if I can make anything palatable out of this. I still haven't broken open this jar of mole I bought...
Missed a chance at a VCR today, but again, I was on my way out, and this time it was far enough away from home that I would've had to lug it around until I got back. Someone else snagged it within a couple hours of my passing by. On the other hand, I did find a triple floor lamp that works fine. Its design is rather... old. I wanna say it's almost retro, but I don't know furniture design.
I have to keep an eye on my cell phone minutes. Nearly a year of barely any calls, and this month, I've already used half my daytime minutes up in the first week. Calling Danielle, of course. Heh. I miss her. It'd be nice if she gets the transfer she thinks she might be in line for. That would put her in the store across town...
Met Lauren for lunch today, and we discussed BDSM over eggs and pancakes. Rather loudly, I might add. I kept waiting for some of the old folks around us to get up and shake a bible at our corrupt hides, but none did. Then I got my hair cut. I told the hair stylist to take off about an inch, maybe a little over. She whittled on my head for nearly an hour and took of two inches... I'd bitch, but honestly, I wanted my hair shorter anyway, and was just asking for an inch because Danielle likes the curls. Maybe she'll like the clean-cut me as well, assuming she sees me again soon.
I'm sleepy. Not tired, just sleepy. I think I will crash, just to straighten out some sleep hours. Mmm, bed... 'night, kids.
