Dragon*Con approachetheth.
I'm pretty psyched about Dragon*Con now. I don't know exactly where in the complex we'll be beside "The fourth hotel" because of our reservations, but the nice part is that we're in the same area as the con, but in one of the buildings that the con is not. We will have a (reasonably) quiet retreat when we are not in the midst of things.
I do know I've decided to take a leg of the driving. It will be good experience for me, and will let me contribute to the effort, since Tim is providing the "I've Been There" part, and Josh will be providing the car. Also, having been to more than one con, I can offer my "Packin' It For Crazy Weekend" experience, as well. All together, I think we'll be pretty prepared.
Tim is pumped, too, having already gone once. Jay may or may not be able to make it, since his work schedule is being a pain. The girls are being just girls, though Danielle and Brantley are occasionally geeking over the author signings and such. Book nerds. Josh, however, is generally silent. He just smiles politely and nods when we talk to him about it. We've explained it all to him, but I don't know if he's quite understanding of what he will be seeing... Danielle and I chuckle at the thought of immersing him in all the strange.
