Another practice, there and gone.
And to think I could be down with my dad and Scott in Fallbrook right now. Ah well.
As nice as it is to come home and put my feet up on the desk, I still have to say that track in my freshman year was by far the hardest physical experience of my life. If that's hard to come to terms with for all you ultra-biased bandos out there, then I'm sorry.
It was so awesome though; I remember starting out having trouble just running two laps around the track without being exhausted, and then by the end of the season breezing through a mile like it was nothing. And that was being on the sprinting team. Oh sure, we did exercises of running short distances, too. You know, like running across a 100 meter span, then turning around to do it four more times. Then resting a few minutes before doing your 200's. Then 300's, 400's, and even a couple 500's to top it off. But despite the fact that it was so tough, I would never give up the experience. The meets were amazing, I got to hang out with a totally different group of people, and I have a new definition of when it's ok to relinquish to physical strain. Of course by now I'm probably all fat and pathetic in comparison.
Anyway, now that I'm home, I should probably get busy and make myself productive. Ugh.
Honestly though, why does there seem to always be one pending thing after another? Life seems to be so rushed sometimes. How about a little more time to just sit down and...reflect? Haha.
