If there were clouds out today, they'd have silver linings...
I got a call yesterday from my insurance adjuster while I was at work. She said that it took them a while to determine the amount to pay, but the check went out in the mail yesterday.
Even though I have liability, there is a clause in Maryland and Virginia state law (so Progressive tells me) that anyone who has liability, is required to be provided uninsured driver coverage as well. Due to my having been rear-ended by a driver who then drove away, we could assume he had no insurance. THAT'S UNINSURED DRIVER COVERAGE, FOLKS! So I pay nothing, my car will soon be repaired (the body shop is my choice), and the world goes round as before.
