Class begins tomorrow and already burned out

Saima's spring break began as mine was ending. She's in North Carolina to visit her older sister at UNC and will be there all next week, while I'm in class and at work. This sucks very much. I don't like being alone at all. Saima I can talk to every night and relieve the stress of the day, otherwise I sit in front of this computer and feel depressed.

I wish I remembered how to relax. I couldn't relax all spring break. I had to set up and run a hospital-access computer in my mom's office when the old one failed to turn on one day, and the other doctors needed access to their patient's info online ASAP. That was an emergency call, took two days, and I should have been paid accordingly, except that the corporation is near bankruptcy almost all the time. For those LJ-readers outside of Maryland, well, we have a malpractice crisis in Maryland, where doctors are having to pay ever-rising costs of malpractice insurance, and some who do high-risk surgery, like my mother's practice, are being extorted to the point that they can't pay bills and paychecks.

My Accord with it's crushed bumper, lights and trunk has never grown on me, and every time I see it, it still hurts. When I have the money, it'll get fixed. The estimate was $1400, give or take $250 (more like GIVE $250).

In other news, the results of my March 21 eye exam are that my diopter has gone up -2.5 in both eyes. My diopter is now -15.75 in both eyes. In addition, the eyeballs themselves are stretched so much that the backs of the eyeballs have perforated with vertical slits and pinholes. This might result in (God forbid) future detachment of the optic nerve. So now I have an appointment with a retina specialist so that laser surgery can "weld" the nerve to the back of the eye with scar tissue, if surgery is needed.

By the way, randomdreams, I read your reply to my last post, and I sincerely thank you for it. Some people understand.
