Ok, so now I've already posted about sex and alienated most people who will read my journal, I guess I'll switch it up and talk about music.
Sufjan Stevens is a genius. If you do not know who I'm talking about, or haven't gotten around to listening to his music. Do it, now, do it.
I suggest either 'Seven Swans' or 'Illinois' first. But, Michigan is great too. Actually, forget that, all three of them are equally great. Michigan and Seven Swans are a bit more chill (just like the state!) and very consistently good. Illiois is a bit more upbeat, and slightly more spotty (one or two songs I tend to skip), but the good songs on there are my favorites of all the albums. He has 2 other albums, one that's hard to get ahold of and I've only gotten one song from it, and an IDM album (intelligent dance music). I thought it was decent for an IDM album, but I doubt most people will like it.
If you like mellow music, stuff like Jack Johnson, Damien Rice, Death Cab for Cutie, Iron & Wine, Coldplay , Keane, etc.. I can't imagine you won't fall in love with Sufjan Stevens. Plus, he's hot and literally a genius (his interviews prove this).
