I hate Calvin's teacher.
He brings home a behavior report yesterday saying he passed an MF note to another student, and he was given the report for inappropriate language, harassment, and disruption. What is an MF note?
I talked to Calvin and he said that Jason gave him a note with some letters, so he wrote one back with the letters MF. Okay, so what's the big deal? Why the inappropriate language remark?
I know there's two sides to every story, so I decide to call the teacher today to hear hers. The conversation went something like this -
Me: I'm a little confused as to what an MF note is. Can you explain?
Teacher: I can't say the words because I'm at school, but I attached the notes to the behavior report. I think you can figure it out.
Me: If I could figure it out then I wouldn't have called for you to explain. There were no notes attached and I don't understand what this MF is.
Teacher: It's a curse word.
Me: Okay, what did the notes say?
Teacher: Jason wrote a note to Calvin with some letters. There was a C, an few A's, and a bunch of other letters. Calvin passed one back with the letters MF.
(Boy was I pissed at this point!)
Me: So Calvin only wrote two letters, MF, and you wrote him up for that.
Teacher: I wrote him up for writing curse words.
Me: No, you just told me he only wrote the letters MF.
Teacher: Well what do you think the letters stand for?
Me: Oh I don't know, Monday through Friday? Male/Female? Mother and Father? Did Calvin say they were curse words, or did you ask him if they were?
Teacher: No, I just assumed they were.
Me: So you're telling me that if he had written any letters other than MF then he wouldn't have gotten into trouble?
I think she was pretty pissed off that I was fighting back and not just accepting her behavior report. And I think she knows I'm right and she's wrong.
Teacher (with a pretty pissy attitude): Fine then, just tear up the behavior report. Forget it even happened.
And then she hung up on me.
I called for some clarification, and ended up calling the teacher out on her BS (yes, you can assume I mean bull shit). Man, it felt good.
