Good advice, all. Today I made a list of things he needed to do around the house and as he does them, he crosses them off the list. One of the action items is for him to pick out (or I will pick them for him) two organizations in town that he can volunteer or do an activity with at least twice a week. While it would be a huge step down for him professionally, we have to find him a job, even if it means his serving coffee, so he has a reason to get up and get dressed. It is like he has blinders on. We are going out tomorrow to buy him a new suit because he has gained a few pounds since his last job and I want to start taking him to some Chamber meetings. I only have 30 days and I don't know what will happen once I leave. I have grave doubts and feel completely lost and tad hopeless. I am getting him up at 6 a.m. for a walk and then walk with him again in the evening. We still aren't hitting the recommended 12,000 steps per day, no where near, but there is a bit progress. Thank you for your support. How hav you managed to keep a job being depressed? My buddy is a brilliant guy and his bosses (prior to the last jackass) loved him, but my friend is having a hard time getting back into the swing of things.
