Shrek!
Last summer I bought a ticket for the very first preview of Young Frankenstein in Seattle. They CANCELED the performance without telling me. I noticed there was a refund to my cc, and had a bad feeling and lo and behold, it was canceled. Good thing my trip wasn't planned solely for the show. But still I was disappointed and upset about it.
So when I heard Shrek is coming to Seattle this summer, I didn't know if I try my luck or not. Well the single tickets are not on sale yet, but SWA opened up their reservation line until October 30th, so I decided to use my award tickets and see if I can make a day trip to Seattle.
Well, I COULD do a day trip to Seattle (Sunday matinee) but the return flight isn't available for the award ticket :( I could buy one way ticket but it will cost $83 plus fee/tax. It's still less expensive than staying at a hotel in Seattle, but I really wanted to use the award tix.
After searching online, I decided to stay overnight, and I'm staying at a hostel! For $28 (LOL). It's been many moons since I stayed at a hostel, but this place is across from the Pikes Market plus my friend has stayed there before and she said it's a nice place.
Oh and I'm going to Seattle in the middle of the run so that they cannot cancel my performance! (LOL)
