Well, it's my birthday tomorrow, and I've got a fun lil' party geared up for today.
But if you happen to be reading this on a Saturday or early Sunday, I'd like to ask you a little birthday favor, that shouldn't take you more than 30 seconds to do, since you're already sitting at the computer anyway.
My friend Pete Savas (aka
pulsecub is competing in a DJ competition, the grand prize being a DJ slot at Gay Days in Orlando. There's currently a Top 5, and two of them are getting cut tomorrow. At this point, it's become a bit of an American Idol thing, rather than focusing on whose set is best, the voting public is able to decide, and very easily. There's been over 1,500 votes cast, and at this point, there's a 2% margin between a few people. So every vote counts.
Here's how to vote:
1. Go to www.gayinternetradiolive.com
2. Look for the "Voting Booth" under the menu bar on the left side of the page.
3. Select the radio button next to Pete's name ("DJ Peter Savas")
4. Type in the three-letter code in the box provided below all the contestant's names
5. Click the "Vote" button
If you have a home or office network, you can cast up to five (5) votes per day from a single IP address, too!
There's no spam for doing this. Last year my friend Paco won the same competition, and the gig really helped him. If you've ever seen Pete spin, you'll know he's worthy of winning this whole thing. And if you haven't ever seen him spin and are shrugging your shoulders, you'd still be doing me a birthday solid. :)
Birthday wishes welcome, but please vote for Pete! Thanks!
