Some would say that we enjoy horror movies because they are based around characters who constantly deny their own inevitable death because we never want to admit that we are going to die someday either; however, others could argue that people enjoy a good scary movie because it lets them act out their own sick fantasies on a sub conscience level in order to keep those fantasies suppressed to our sub conscience.
