Schools back in session
WEll, today is the second day of the spring semester for me. THings are going alright so far. I have gone to all of my claases. Latin, well...is latin....hehehe not much to say there yet. Classical Biblical Literature seems really interesting. The professor is a goofy looking old man that wears loafers and high waters...lol...but he seems pleasant enough, we have started reading the Odyssey already. I had lecture for mythology today. The teacher seems pleasant enough, I think he is going to be a bit less liberal with expectations, but thats ok. at least it is a subject I have interest in. I have the discussion part tomorrow. Myth is my honors course, so I really wont know the expectations until tomorrow's class. Critical theory looks like it is going to be a big BORE!! The teacher is monotone and well, just appears to be off as far as teachers go. He expects a lot of reading, but from what I can tell no papers...which is weird as this is an upper level english class..but I'm not complaining. Philosophy and HUman Nature looks like it will be ok. The teacher is a great speaker, so that definately helps. I might consider making this an honors designation...not sure yet....wither this or classic biblical lit....gonna wait for the discussion classes to make up my mind. Although I am taking 5 classes, I dont se anything so far that appears to make it non doable (perfect grammar for an english major huh...lol). The worst part about the schedule is that I will actually have to finals, and not write papers....thats not so much fun, but then, I have not yet had to take too many finals, so it will be interesting. I think my finals work out to one test every day of finals week....sux for travel, but then I only have to worry about one subject per day, so thats not so bad.
The weather up here is freezing. THe wind is fierce, blowing arctic cold into every inch of the body. I wear a turtleneck, sweater/sweatshirt, my jacket, a scarf, gloves, and even a winter headband and still I am cold...lol...Lisa laughs at me, I look really funny in the headband, and even worse once I take it off for class, but oh well. No way is vanity gonna keep me from being as warm as possible!!!
I'm back to work, but not much to report there, except it makes the day very long. I am here until 6 pm everyday in order to make the hours. It leaves little time for studying, but I am already trying to get a head in all the readings, and that should take care of any study woah's I might have. Besides, on tuesday I have 2.5 hours between my second and my third class, so I can get alot of reading done there, and possibly even some latin.
Dad is feeling better. Still not a hundred percent, but close to 99. I am getting there. I am still sleeping on the couch becuz I need to sit up to sleep, and I am still real congested and sound like milton the frog, but at least most of the lethargy is gone, and I am at least able to get some sleep.
Well, thats it for me for now. I will update later when I can. I miss you all extremely!!!
