Only sane Dean/Castiel fans populate my flist, and you're one of them, lol. :D See, I feel like you can love a pairing, even if it doesn't always make 100% sense as long as you see its faults and don't get overly defensive of it and disrespectful of other ships. I'm like that with wincest (and I think I'm starting to come back to it, even though I swore I quit it after season four. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO QUIT YOU.) I mean look at it, in Monster at the End of the book, Sam and Dean were clearly weirded out over wincest fan fiction, but then you get such priceless gems as soulmates in heaven. No one is better than the other, and as long as you're self-aware, I think I can stand any pairing from anyone. That's why I secretly love Sam/Castiel shippers. They're all, "why do we ship them? IDK, they're hot and we feel contrary."

I dug it being in Castiel's perspective too, even if it was odd and I still think they should have made it clear that Castiel was talking to the audience not god, thus he's an angel powerful enough to break the fourth wall. I lost my expectations a long time ago, and man, you should have met me at the height of my burning rage of season 4, lol. I almost quit the show a dozen times, and kept coming back because my sister still wanted to watch, and so somewhere down the line I realized I was never going to get the show back to what it was, so I sort of accepted it for what it was. I'm actually fairly pleased with it, and it's a far cry better for me than it was at the beginning of the season.

I've been religious in the past and have lost faith, so yeah, I understand his pain. It's a lot harder to rely on yourself because I get wanting to be told what the right thing is.

I like that about his character. He loves freedom and to him it was fucking mind blowing that the winchesters + Bobby could go against destiny and he wants that, but he's confused as to what the price of it is. I can't wait to see how this will turn out.

How dare you use t'hy'la on me, cretin! :P I wish I'd seen evidence that Dean cared that much about Castiel except in this episode and in seasons past, because dear lord, this season has been so void of any rapport. They could at least TEMPT me into shipping them.
