This whole situation is just full of ick. I'm thinking of getting a DW account, myself, but I have a lot of the same questions you do (daphnie_1 answered a lot of them in her comment above). I'm pretty bad at checking multiple accounts, though, so I have no idea how having both an LJ and DW would work out for me.

hello daphnie_1, i have just spent two hours entering codes from the dreamwidth code share site, and i am totally frustrated... thirty codes and not one was unused or available. maybe i'm too stupid or something but can i try one of yours?

Me too, bb, me too. :( I have trouble keeping up with just the one flist, let alone two of them. Granted, the people I have friended on lj are pretty much just my flist, but then some of them change their names on dreamwidth, and so I get confused as to who's who. It's bad enough connecting usernames on tumblr to lj ones, let alone adding dreamwidth to the mix. I'd need a chart. :/
