THE DAY OF SPORK IS UPON US
I have just realized that today is Kirk/Spock day, the official fandom day of Kirk/Spock picked because this is the day that Amok Time first aired in 1967. I've been caught by surprise, so I have nothing intelligent, witty, or fascinating to contribute, but instead I shall post the most random collection of Kirk/Spock shit ever, and it is going to be, of course, nonsensical and missing a million things because I'm tired and really am using some form of magical fangirl energy to get this out.
Let's do a couple of self-recs since they're broad and I'm way too lazy for proper rec lists of EVERYTHING:

So, James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock. You know how some people dwell in a fandom for a couple of years or more, then switch to another? And then there are people who get into one fandom and they're there for years? I was the first type before May 12th, when I realized within a couple of months that I was in deep. Never having wrote much for other fandoms, I wrote my first big bang last year and I've got another one coming out in a month or so. I'M STILL NOT EVEN TIRED OF THIS FANDOM. It makes me feel both young and old, and my ultimate OTP of all time is Kirk/Spock. I can't even start talking about them, because I'd never stop and I'd just embarrass myself and I do that daily anyway. They are my idea of true, epic love, and even though in reality I'm a horrible cynic with love, in my heart of hearts I'd probably marry someone if they said that I'm the Spock to their Kirk or vice versa. That would be like telling me, 'I will always be by your side and will love you so much that I will give up everything I am for you because your freaking SOUL is as important as my own.' Yeah, this is K/S canon, yet somehow people don't really get why we slash them.
But today is a day for celebration and hilarity! A fandom 44 years old, the oldest slash fandom ever, and it's no damn wonder what with the epic slash of these two. Enjoy this small picspam, and celebrate in your own ways the awesome power of Spork.
