Sunday . . .

I love my family. I am so glad that I have the opportunity to spend time with them. I am down here in Monroe visiting my grandparents & seeing my Aunt Sonya, Uncle Dean & 6 cousins. All of their daughters are so much fun to spend time with together. I went to church today with my grandparents. Their ward Sacrament meeting was all right. The youth speakers were very boring and a missionary to be spoke as well as a returned elderly couple. The missionary-to-be was an all right speaker but he dragged on forever. I am so proud of the youth in Franklin Ward. They know what they are doing and are spiritually blessed for the hardships of living in the mission field. I’m so grateful for that opportunity that I had to be there. Even though I hated living there, in many ways, it has blessed me. I’m still going to miss many of the youth from there. It’s weird knowing that I’m going to start college soon, and yet, be serving a mission in a few months. It seems so unreal right now.

Well, to get back on track, Sunday school was retarded. The teacher knew my dad in high school and went hunting with my Uncle Paul. He was a good teacher. The kids in the class didn’t pay attention to what he said. Jackie & I were the only ones that were listening to what he was saying about Helaman and the Stripling Warriors. Once class was over, I went to Elder’s Quorum with my Dad. The topic was the role of the children, mother and father in the family; the role that priesthood holders have in the family. It was a nice time to reflect on the ways of parenting. I hope that someday I will be able to be a good father. First, college and my mission---haha. Then we came back to my grandparent’s house and ate lunch with my cousins and Aunt Sonya. Uncle Dean went hunting this past weekend so he didn’t get home until later tonight. We ate a Turkey dinner, complete with mashed potatoes, salad, stuffing, homemade rolls, broccoli, and gravy. I love my Grandma’s cooking! We then hung out and played Old Maid. We also went across the street and fed the horses. McKinley, the youngest (2 years old), had an awesome time feeding the horses. She kept saying, “He ate it! He ate it!” I sure have missed out being away from family.

Our cousins left, taking Brynne with them, and everyone else took naps. After our naps, we went over to my cousin’s house. Their house is beautiful. They made some cookies that were good, too! So, at about 8 we left to go to my mom’s cousin’s house. We met our second cousin Andrew and his newly-wed wife, Sarah. They were a cute couple. Both just came home from missions and got engaged. Andrew went on his mission to Mongolia and Sarah went to Calgary, Canada. It was nice to get to know them better. When we left, we came back to my grandparent’s house. We’ve been watching the Olympics. Well, I g2g to bed. I have tennis in the morning & we’re going to go to the cabin on Monroe Mountain. It was my Grandpa Dyches’ Cabin. His kids have been using it extensively for many different reasons. I think that we might be going fishing tomorrow; we’ll have to see.

“God Be With You ‘Till We Meet Again”
God be with you till we meet again;
By His counsels guide, uphold you,
With His sheep securely fold you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Neath His wings protecting hide you;
Daily manna still provide you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
With the oil of joy anoint you;
Sacred ministries appoint you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
When life’s perils thick confound you;
Put His arms unfailing round you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Of His promises remind you;
For life’s upper garner bind you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Sicknesses and sorrows taking,
Never leaving or forsaking;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Keep love’s banner floating o’er you,
Strike death’s threatening wave before you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Ended when for you earth’s story,
Israel’s chariot sweep to glory;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.
