Almost Time

So as my 21st birthday nears, my life has taken an interesting yet refreshing twist. I've started my new job at Home Depot which I actully kind of enjoy. The money is good, and I feel like I have a real oppertunity to succeed and get ahead in the corporation. If I think my life is crazy now I can't even being to imagine what it's going to be like post June 21st. Jessica has basically written me off and moved on with her life, but I still talk to her every once and a while. I think it bothers her though to see how i've handled the situation, I believe she expected me to be on my knees or something begging for her to come back. Oh well, what are you going to do? I have too many other things going on in my life right now to deal with some high school drama. If she doesn't want me to be in her life or doesn't want to try to involve herself in mine that's nobodys loss but hers. To put a cap on everything that happened all I can say in closing arguments is that if everyone believes what I did was so much different then anything Jessica did, simply ask her about Donnie. As i've maintained the whole time, I don't see time proximity as that valid of an argument, but hey whatever I have other things to do. Maybe sometime down the road it'll work itself out, but for the time being if she isn't going to worry about it, then why should I?

Anyways onto more prudent things. I've met so many people the last three weeks or so. Several of my friends and I have made it an almost regular occasion to visit the Outback Steakhouse in Novi right next to my work to have to few "pops" and talk about old times, and times to come. To completment all of this i've taken a liking to one of the waitstaff personel there. Her name is Cristyn. She waited on me a few different times when i've been there on various occasions with various people. I figured hell if i'm going to be in here enough might as well get to know some of the staff. It didn't take long to really hit some things off, we're supposed to go out on Saturday. However she had made it a point to try and find a co-worker for everyone of my friends. It's fun to go in there each time and find out who was eyeballing us the last time we were in there and then meet them and see if we could all set something up. (Random thought, i've come to realize that their is something weird about having a beer at six in the morning. I just have to keep telling myself that for me it's late, it'd be like all of you having one at 9 or 10 at night. Although I guess something is wrong when two hours after I get up i'm enjoying some keg Foster's with the boys at the Outback before work, oh well.) Back to Cristyn though, she seems like so much fun to be around, she's always in good spirits, and from what people say she just likes to have fun, so i'm down with that. After I left and went to work a few of my malt, barley, and hopps commrades stayed behind and talked to a few of her friends who joined us at the table before I had to make my departure. Sounds like some interest is there on her part, so we're going to have to wait this one out and see what happens. I love her eyes and her smile, they just make me feel good inside. Most of all though I love the way she looks in my eyes and grins when I first walk in and sit down. It's just like she couldn't be happier I came to see her. I don't even know if she realizes she does it, but the last four or five times i've been in there i've gotten that look and grin, especially the last two after we started talking. I'm going in there tonight before work and hopefully this time i'll get a little more time to talk to her, the last time we were in there her section got really busy and she didn't have much time for us. I talked to her a day or so after and she told me how bummed she was that she couldn't come spend some time with us, but hey, shit happens and there is always next time, or when we both don't work. Funny side note to all of this, word has it that she's looking for a male roommate to move in with. So i've gotten the little nudge from most of my friends trying to see if i'm interested.

Last night was bowling. Got together with Mike and Bond and threw a few games. I ran into a girl I went to high school with online a few days prior and she came up there to see me. Ironically her name is Jessica. I must have something with meeting up with girls named Jessica at the bowling alley. She ended up bowling with some other people she knew up there, but it was good to see her either way. I've known her a long time, we went to elementary and middle school together also. We're doing dinner Sunday night so that'll be fun to see what she's been doing with herself the last three years or so. She must like Applebee's. When I asked her if she wanted to go do dinner or something she agreed and then I asked her where she wanted to go. It took but a few seconds and she estatically said "Applebee's". There must be something there she likes. I also ran into a few other girls I knew there that I hadn't seen in a long time. Some from high school, some that just remembered me from times past. So I got a few phone numbers, and i'm going to have to sort it all out and set up some dates. I find it funny that even though most of these girls have boyfriends or someone their seeing they still want to make sure i'm going to make time for them. Wish I knew why, but i'm not going to ask, it just makes you feel good inside to see that people are really wanting to spend time with you.

So all in all times aren't so bad. Summer is almost upon us, i'll be 21 in less than a month, I have a beer barge sitting in the water waiting to be used, and most importantly i'm meeting new people and running into some old friends i've haven't seen in a long time. Summer looks busy, but even better, summer looks bright.
