There is this series of Biggles book covers that won't stop fascinating me with its utter weirdness/hilariousness. I think they are from Knights Books. We already had some of them here. I've been browsing ebay lately and found two more I haven't seen before. Seriously... I mean, what?

Browsing in the bookshop today, I came across these compilation volumes showing Biggles looking perplexed yet faintly amused, and Gimlet looking frankly homicidal. I haven't read any Gimlet yet, so I appeal to those who have: is he really so angry and shooty?!

I just thought I would share another one of the Czech illustrations with you. It's from Biggles and the Plot that Failed.
I found it printed while digging through some of my old stuff a while ago. Surprisingly, I immediately remembered from which book it was, so I could take a photo of it directly from the book.
