Seems Dayton3 wants to write a Trek novel.
Dayton3: Isn't there a saying somewhere that everyone has at least one good book in them?

As laughable as I think that is, at least he's trying to back up his bitching about the character-driven nature of Trek Lit by writing his own book (presumably with lots of detailed war scenes and intricate tech descriptions of the sort that would make Tom Clancy start whipping skippy). Given the great amounts of love between Dayton3 and the professional authors (as in, "none whatsoever"), this could prove to be a most entertaining thread.
