my cousin nikki called me today to ask me if my mom's boyfriend wears a toupee. i guess she went to visit her at work and his hair was all brushed down to his eyes and then it looked like he took a curling iron and curled it under and hairsprayed it. aw...little old men are silly. my mom was making fun of me because i didn't know that he had a toupee. i've only met him once though, and i might have been hungover. maybe.
i met with my teachers that i'm going to be place with next semester. they are so nice. the good news is that i'm only going to be teaching two different classes - one 3 times a day, the other one 2 times a day. the bad news is that they are all senior classes so they are probably going to be smarter than me. the one guy gave me the teachers edition. i'll be learning some brit lit because when i start i get to teach milton. yippee.
last night i started at barnes & noble and i got an emergenvy phone call. it was christine calling me from new mexico because she was having a bad day and needed a laugh. so she went about entertaining herself by scaring the shit out of me on my first night of work. it took a lot of effort to because she had to look at my away message and realize i was at work, think of where i got a job, look up the number on the internet, and lie to my new co-worker. i think she new it wasn't an emergency once i started cracking up. "so people that shouldn't be are calling you at work." oh bitch, go dye your hair a new shade of purple. the girl is nice, but kind of annoying and her boyfriend looks like he could be her dad. i'm sure there will be many more entries about her.
last night when i got to work they also told me that i was going to have to work alone for the first hour. there was someone from the sales floor there though to help with the register. it was interesting, but i was so tired that i really didn't care. it was kind of like riding a bike. i'm a natural at what i do.
worst text message ever: someone you slept with has an std but i have good news i just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico. thanks elyssa. bitch.
