It's not rocket science

It's been a heck of a two weeks. Frankly, I'm shattered. My spelling is all over the place, I'm not concentrating like I usually do.

Good news:

The presentation for ESA went very well. Overall, I'm really happy with the work I've done (just a shame that it was concentrated in the last two weeks), and ESA seem very happy too.

I've just uploaded the paper for the IAF/IAC (big space conference), the presentation is due tomorrow. The paper has big red marks from where Jo picked through it with a fine toothed pen. I'm sure she should get a co-author place on my thesis ;)

Looking forward to sleeping this weekend.

Some more interesting observations about the Dutch:

Leiden station doesn't have any seats (apart from a smoking section). I think they expect trains to run on time, and not wait about the place. Either way, it was pretty much dead at 4am in the morning.

€50 notes aren't that common, ones that lie on the ground are much rarer too. On retrospect there won't be many grannies that lose their pensions around a high-tech space science building. You never know, so I handed it in anyway.

Who in their right mind goes to a cheese farm? (and clog factory) It does childrens parties and school trips too, the site is in english as well. It has an address of Cow Dungeon way (BovenKerkerWeg).

[Edit: wikipedia has a list of US states and their state dinosaurs. If you think it can't get any lamer, then think again:
In 1998, the legislature of Arizona was unable to decide on a state dinosaur, or indeed a state fossil.

wierd, research
