I scanned the pictures in. There weren't a lot of good ones, as my mother used most of the disposable camera to take pics of the hotel and sailboat.

I saw something on tv about people in New Orleans still rebuilding their homes, years later. It made me think of the houses on the barrier islands where we went to the beach. The barrier island was less than 10 blocks wide and all the houses on it, even the apartment buildings, were on pillars. Some of the houses were only 5 or so feet off the ( Read more... )
