I have an odd idea of what "tomorrow" is if I posted this a week later.
Teeth
I've been getting some fillings taken care of, finally. The worst one was under an existing filling, and deep. They said that it was almost to the pulp. When they were finishing up they apparently took out too much and just barely hit pulp. They sealed it and filled it, but it's possible I may need a root canal in the future. So their mistake may cost me money and pain in the future. Too bad I signed that "no suing" disclaimer.
Skiing
Early in the month I tried downhill skiing, because McDonalds had a promotion for cheap lessons. Cheap was right, the ski instructor didn't explain things well enough. Either that or I had the wrong skis on. Despite that I was able to do okay. We'd go halfway up the beginner hill to practice, but after the lesson I went all the way up and was able to ski down a few times without crashing, even if my turning is slow.
I actually want to continue to learn how to downhill.
Electric Six
I went to the gay bar and saw Electric Six in concert. I had planned to go with others but they couldn't go. It's funny how much Dick Valentine has aged, he looks so young in the videos yet on the stage he's older... I danced during songs I liked and just sat there for songs I didn't know. Oddly they didn't play "Danger! High Voltage", maybe because Jack White did vocals for that.
Job sucks as usual
Almost lost my job at the beginning of the month.
See, I put out letters around Christmas and customers will often tip me back. Then in January I send a thank you note, to everyone, which usually encourages stragglers to send a tip. Since in previous years I've only gotten about 50-60% of people to tip, this year at the end of my thank you letter I said something like this:
"If you haven't sent a gift yet you can still do so, but if you can't, that's fine too. Sending a gift to a newspaper carrier is proper but not mandatory for me. I don't keep track of who sends things so if you can't because of any reason I will not hold it against you."
Well, someone threw a fit claiming I was demanding tips, and complained to the NY Times customer service and my management. I almost lost my job. Ironically about 15-20 people sent me tips anyway and I made almost $200 more.
Since it's been a month I think I'm okay, but my asshole manager almost sent me home again because after arguing with him over a customer, I was walking away saying "this is fucking retarded" and he almost fired me for saying "fucking". I need a new job.
