Dear god I haven't posted in this in ages. I literally have 2 posts here since November. So um, here's some new stuff in my life.
Wayne State
Mid January I filled out an application to Wayne State. I had already sent in transcripts. In two days, they admitted me. I'm not sure I'm going there or not, and I'm trying to get paperwork to some other colleges to see if they'll admit me.
McDonalds Game System
A local McDonalds has a computer with a touch screen with games on it, like those gaming systems in bars, but this one is free. Back in Jan I was getting a McRib (I love McRibs shut up), and I decided to try the Luxor 2 game on it (kinda like Zuma with the colored balls that snake across the screen). I became addicted, and eventually tried to get to 1 million points and succeeded. I beat the next highest score 10 times over. I have no life.
Grandpa
Grandfather had to go into the hospital for a stint in his heart. And then he became sick, perhaps catching the flu that's going around. But he got better, was put in rehab for a few weeks, and is now fine.
TSO:
Went to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert the Saturday before New Years. I decided not to buy tickets until I got there (but I checked before I left to make sure they had some) because I figured I'd be able to skip the Ticketmaster surcharge.
When I got close to the stadium there was a line 3 miles from the exit on the highway. I drove alongside it and someone pulled out of it and almost hit me. I knew of a back way to get to the stadium, and it took me only 5 minutes to get in and was uneventful except I almost rear-ended somebody on the slick roads.
When I tried to get my tickets some guy stopped me and offered some, main floor, row 10, for $50. I only had $30 on me and I told him so, and he said he'd only give them for 50. When I tried to walk away he offered 40. Then when I walked away again he took the $30.
It was a great seat, right near the stage, so I went to an ATM and gave him $20 more because of how good they were. The concert was awesome, full of laser lights, colored flame, and guitar solos, and three guys with mullets in leather running around wailing on guitars, and one Asian guy going crazy on a electric violin. The first half of the show was their "Lost Christmas Eve" CD, every song, which tells a story of an angel looking for kindness on Christmas. The second half was a bunch of their famous hits.
