Busy August
So remember how I say every time I want to go to things, they always happen at the same time? And every time, I'm validated? I do think it's because most of the things I want to do are on weekends, and there's only so many weekends in a year (52, the same number of weeks in a year).
In any case, two weeks ago it was Art Fair/Rocket club, and I was able to make time for both. Last week it was German Park and Maker Faire, but I could go to each on separate days.
This weekend, it's an anime convention, a rock concert, and an air show.
The Air Show is both Sat and Sun so I can go on Sunday easily, as long as I can park outside of the airport like I've done before and watch for free.
The Anime convention and rock festival, both on Saturday, are like 5 miles from each other, but having time to go to both is a stretch. Plus, the rock concert is more expensive. Even though I'll be sad not to go because it has bands I like, like Five Finger Death Punch, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, and Battlecross.
Next weekend's about the only weekend I have off. I'm going to be so bored.
The third weekend's the worst. The anime club's meeting is on the 18th, and the rocket club is meeting on the 19th. So good so far. But that weekend is also the Heritage Festival and my mother loves going to that, so I'd have to figure out a way around the other two things. :/
And then the last weekend is German Park again on Saturday, and Renaissance Festival, which thankfully the group I go with is going on Sunday this time (the Faire closes when the Park opens, though, so I could do both).
And then there's college open houses, but those are all on Weekdays, so they never interfere with my weekend plans. However... two of the colleges I'm most interested in DON'T have open houses or transfer days. Fuck.
