Damn them boy bands!!!
I swear I've had my Valentines Blues strike late this year, like as in a week or two late. Part of that might have to do with the Anime series I'm watching which is a comedy about love triangles and such, but we'll get into that later.
As you guys may know I don't like rabid fangirlism... perticually yaoi fangirlism for two reasons... one is when they turn obviously straight characters gay, and two because if they're fawning over gay guys, then I must not be gay enough (or effeminite enough) to worthy their attention.
Several days ago I was looking for the news on the TV during breakfast when I turned to some morning show, and that 90s boy band that got back together (was it New Kids On The Block or another band?) was performing, and all the women in the crowd were in an insane, rabid screaming frenzy.
Of course, the singers were now older, and the band's so old that the only people who are fans of it would have to be over 18. So a bunch of adult women creaming themselves over a bunch of pretty boys?
Yea I was a bit jealous.
I can't believe women would willingly and mindlessly throw themselves at boy bands just because the lead singers are effiminite and "dreamy" and look like they're in the middle of puberty (JONAS BROTHERS I'M LOOKING AT YOU!!!), and they sing shitty romantic songs. How fucking shallow do you have to be to throw yourself at guys just because they're young and hot and sing badly? Are looks that important? What if those boy band members are womanizers or drug users or woman beaters?
I said so on that liberal guild I'm a member of, and I called the boy band fans a bunch of "dumb bitches" and some other terms that pissed them off (mostly the women but a couple guys as well) and of course they say I'M the chauvinistic asshole... Apparently they didn't get why I was upset...
I'm not hot enough or sexy enough for women to throw themselves at me. I have to be young and boyish and sexy and sing crappy songs in order for any woman to throw themselves at me. That's how I feel and that's why I don't like boy bands or the stupid fans who mindlessly squeal at them.
