Jesus... no wonder it's taken so long to write this list... there was a lot of awesome songs that came out in 2008. I mean seriously, it was one of the best years for alternative and rock fans. Lots of great albums and singles came out from all sorts of bands including Slipknot's newest album, and Motley Crue & Guns and Roses putting out some new stuff, and OF COURSE Disturb coming out with their fourth kick ass album. I almost forgot about the new Disturbed album.
Notice that Kid Rock's All Summer Long is not on this list, because frankly, they played it so damn much I got sick of it. And I'm not a big Kid Rock fan, anyway.
And no, there's no pop and little rap in this list. I hate it when I see a list of "Best Rock songs" and they have rap and pop and R&B in the list.... RAP =/= ROCK. Dumbfucks. Associating anything rap, pop, R&B, or any other genre with Rock, which is music with guitars and drums that kicks everyone's ass, is a mortal sin. There's rap with a little rock mixed in, but that's not rock. And there's rock with rap elements (Korn?), but that's rock.
...I might have missed a few songs in this list... oh well...
