Dixie Chicks (and another rant if I have time)
God dammit. Leave the fucking Dixie Chicks alone for a change.
For those just tuning in, the Dixie Chicks said a while back that they were ashamed that Bush was from Texas. In response, many of their patriotic fans protested, destroyed and burned their cds, and even country radio stations all over the country stopped playing their songs. Tonight they were having a documentary where they were apologizing for what they said.
Good fucking grief. When the fuck did it become unpatriotic to say you don't like the president in this country. I don't like the president that much, does that make me a terrorist? Should I put on a fucking towel and run around in the middle east with camels all un-patriotic like? The Chicks are exercising their patriotic right to say what they think about the war and the president, and they get treated like shit! Well fuck you all, I'm standing up for the Dixie Chicks. I think they can say whatever the hell they want. If I were a famous rock star, and I didn't like Dubya, I'd say so live on CNN, and if anyone didn't like it, I'd flick everyone off and tell them to go burn.
I remember that famous picture of Dixie Chick CDs being run over by a tractor. Why, out of all things, a Tractor!!! Fucking country hicks. Leave the girls alone and go back to screwing your sisters dammit. The Chicks shouldn't be ashamed of Dubya being from Texas, they should be ashamed of texas for all those pro-war rednecks that treated them like shit for speaking their mind.
