Title: The Husband-Stealing Dad
Fandom: Tiger&Bunny
Characters: Kotetsu/Barnaby, Kaede
Summary: Where Kotetsu deals with his broken-hearted daughter because, once again, it's his fault.
"Kaede, please, listen to me-"
Kotetsu hadn't planned to let her know he was in a relationship with a man until much, much, much later. Somehow, her finding him pressing Bunny into a wall with his lips crushing his had done the deed. After kicking him out with some difficulty, he had turned to face a livid Kaede. Which got him into the present situation, Kaede screaming her head off and him unable to say a single word without her maiming him.
"Why would I? YOU STOLE MY FUTURE HUSBAND!"
Wait, what?
That was the problem?
"Uh, Sweety?"
"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. You, you...! YOU THIEVING HUSSY!"
Ouch, that hurt. And where did she learn that expression, anyway?!
"Kaede."
"YOU TAINTED BARNABY-SAMA! YOU'RE NOT WORTH HIS LOVE AND COOLNESS AND HANDSOMENESS AND BEAUTY AND PERFECTION AND-"
"Kaede."
"-BUT I AM. HE-He was supposed to be my first and only love..!" Her rant stopped short as she started gasping soflty, blinking to keep her rapidly-forming tears of crushed Prince Charming dreams from falling.
Kotetsu panicked. Seeing the situation for what it was, he crouched and gathered her in his arms, slowly rocking her back and forth while rubbing soothing circles on her back. He sighed and looked up. What to do...?
Trying to comfort his broken-hearted daughter, he smiled softly -albeit a bit embarassed, rubbing his neck with his left hand- and asked her jokingly,
"Wouldn't you like Bunny as another mom?"
She sniffed loudly one last time not caring to be well-mannered at the moment, looked him in the eye and said,
"I never wanted to kiss Mom on the mouth. With tongue."
Ah. Good point.
