Does ANYONE ELSE see the uncanny.. (or dare I say "borrowed") similarity between these two images?
I noticed this strategically set-up image of off shore drilling placed prominantly in his current TV ad campaign the other night during the Olympics and I thought to myself how RUDE it is of McCain to slip such an image in like that...
It's composition borrows HEAVILY from a popular cultural ICON ..to me it seems to create a sort of silent 'homage' back to his greatest legacy.. surving capture during the Viet Nam Era.. while also giving a gentle tug on the heart strings of those who would allow themselves to be put into the roll of being a political 'pawns' on the subject of off shore drilling.
What IRKS ME MOST about what I'm hearing in the media..is McCains' supposed 'plans' to divert MAJOR money (IMMEDIATELY) towards drilling in protected lands which could possibly destroy or atleast compromise some of our most difficult or even IMPOSSIBLE to replace natural habitats and land holdings.. much less hastening the calander in regards to tapping the planet out on natural resources, many of which may be put to better use in the distant future when cleaner and better energy technology has been developed.
Granted.. it's just colors and shapes...but to ME it triggers a (silent) "BIG RED FLAG" reaction IMMEDIATELY about his having subliminally played his 'Prisoner of War' capture and detainment' "BIG PATRIOT CARD" by choice or by chance..
