Closing Statement

Oct 24, 2009 18:16

Hey everybody. So I know everyone hated my opening statement so hopefully my closing one will be better. As you probably gleaned from my jury answers, I did not want to do jury questions before the final 2 because I still had some explaining to do to both Chris and Brian that I wasn't wanting to do yet. I did not want Brian to know how extensive my alliance with Chris was, and I did not want Chris to know my intentions on who I was going to take the final two should I win the final HoH. However, through the question process I left everything out there, and there are no more secrets. I hope my answers were helpful to everyone, and that they explained better to everyone here why things happened the way they did.

So this is the point in the game where I have one last chance to convince you to vote for me to be the winner. I don't want to come across as arrogant, bragging, or even not sexy as Casey would say. But I also have to tell you why I think that I deserve your vote to win over either Brian or Chris, and address some of the points made by Chris and Brian in their jury answers.

First, I feel that I played the best social game out of the top 3. I dedicated more time to this game than I had for it, always making sure I was available on AIM throughout the day to both talk game or talk about other things going on in life with everyone on the jury. I tried to make genuine relationships with everyone in this game and tried to separate the game from my personal relationships with you all as much as possible. I would hope that most of you feel the same way.

Second, I made strong alliances that I knew could take me to the end. Yes I made more alliances probably than any other player. But I also don't think that was a secret to anyone. I made sure to put myself in a place where no matter who won HoH or what happened, that I was not going to be nominated or at risk of getting voted out. I am proud of the fact that I made it to the end never being on the block, and I think that's a testament to the skills I had in playing this game.

Third, I stayed loyal to the two people that were with me the longest. I knew after the first week that the two people I could count on the longest in this game were Brian and Chris. Before we got to the jury phase, I knew that the other members of my core alliance, Andrea and Cynthia, and Kat and Leah, were themselves pairs and had I been in a final 3 with any of those pairs then I would be the odd man out. I also knew that Donna would prefer Brian over me. Leah and Andrea may feel that I betrayed their final 2 trusts, but I had to stay loyal to Brian and to Chris, someone who provided me with much information. With Chris, I knew every single move and vote people were going to make, which was the benefit to having a secret alliance with him that spanned across both sides of the house.

So regardless of who I end up against in the end of this game, I would love for you to vote for me. Throughout the game I did what I felt was most needed to be done to make it to the end of this game. I made good friendships that I intend to keep long after this game is over. I feel that I played the game the way it needed to be played to safely make it to the end. That said, I hope that everyone votes for who they believe played the best game, and that is all I can ask for.
