(no subject)
Hello, LJ! Things here are busy, busy. I miss this place. I still check my flist a couple times a week, but I miss posting. I was just looking through my icons, and they're such a snapshot of my life the past 10+ years. So many memories of people, places and fandoms tied into those little 100 x 100 pixel squares. I'm so glad I got a permanent account years ago so that as long as LJ is here, all my icons and stuff will be too. If I had to pay each year now to keep them up, I don't think I could justify it.
Anyway, hello! I'm busy writing all the books. Things are going well. I'm making a living, which was my goal for this year. It's a frugal living, but as long as I stay in the black, I'm happy. A Forbidden Rumspringa was nominated for a DABWAHA (Dear Author Bitchery Writing Award for Hellagood Authors), and my round is up today at noon until midnight if you want to go vote for me. :)
I'm just finishing up the proofing on the third Amish book, and then I'll be editing my werewolf romance that takes place during a zombie apocalypse. Just for a change of pace, heh.
Speaking of werewolves and zombies, some TV thoughts:
1. I'm obviously bummed Hoechlin won't be back as a regular in S5 of TW. But I genuinely enjoy all the characters and the show in general, and as long as Dylan is still there, I'll be watching. I feel like he would be the dealbreaker. I can't imagine the show without Stiles. I hope Jeff is never nice enough to let Dylan out of his contract, heh. I also hope the show wraps up before everyone wants to leave. I feel like Dylan has a lot of loyalty to the show and to Tyler Posey, so I'm hoping they'll want to keep doing it as long as they can. We shall see!
2. ZOMG The Walking Dead. I'm loving this season!
Obviously things in Alexandria are going to go to hell in a handbasket sooner rather than later. Father Gabriel can go fuck himself any time now. I kind of want Carol to take him out in the woods and tie him to a tree. :| I mean, the gang has saved his sorry hide more than once! Remember when he stupidly crawled out of the church and put Carl, Michonne and Judith in danger because he's a fucking idiot? Ugh. And when he said, Are you going to take the cross too? (Or something to that effect.) YEAH, WE FREAKING ARE. STFU.
As you can tell, my patience for him is at an end. He's a coward, and he'd be dead many times over if not for Rick and co. The nerve of him saying they're not good people! Hmmph!!
I'm so glad Rick shaved. Also, I still ship him and Michonne. I want it to happen.
Carol's "I'm a harmless den mother who wears florals!" routine is fabulous.
Poor Noah. :((((((((( That was so awful. Poor Glenn too. Gah. But boss lady is not going to be happy her son is dead right on the heels of Gabriel's warning.
Two eps left, and I can't wait to see what unfolds!
3. CBS, why haven't you renewed The Good Wife yet? Do not fuck with me. I mean, I can't imagine they wouldn't give it a seventh and final season, and it's not like an average of 10 million viewers is bad. Other nets would kill for those ratings. But they'd just better let it go out on its own terms, or I'll...well, I'll be angry on the internet.
4. Just caught up on the past few eps of Looking. I love this show. It feels so real, and the friendships are wonderful. I really hope Doris and Dom make up soon, because it makes my stomach all acidy when they fight. Also, I'm mostly Team Kevin (his being a cheater was really hard for me to get past), but Richie is such a lovely guy. The characters are so great on this show. Augustin is so much more likable this season, thank goodness!
5. I freaking loved Agent Carter! I really hope it gets another mini season. So satisfying and enjoyable. I'd choose it over SHIELD, personally.
6. ZOMG The Flash! That was quite an episode! Love this show. I could watch Grant Gustin and Jesse L. Martin putter around the house all day being adorable. Love, love, love their relationship. Do not kill off Jesse, show. I know you'll want to because this is a comic and he's a father figure. But don't, because he elevates this show so much.
