After the steaming pile of shit that was the BSG finale, I didn't think anything could make me less interested in Caprica.
I stand corrected! Ugh. I loved Marsters as Spike back in the day (pre-Angel), but I've read too many moronic interviews with him now, and he's just so...ick. Can't stand him.
In other news, I watched the first two episodes of Burn Notice (thanks to
fenwic for lending me the DVDs!). I already love Jeffrey Donovan from the US Touching Evil (so good and so sadly shortlived), so I really enjoy him, and Bruce Campbell is always fun. Also, I'm curious to see if the entire supporting cast of Dexter will show up as the season goes on. So far we've had Angel and Rita's ex (now Jacob on Lost).
The show has a fun, breezy tone, and I enjoy the Miami setting. So far my only problem is that I'm really not fond of Gabrielle Anwar. I enjoyed her back in the Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken days (a cookie to anyone who remembers that movie), but now she's so...pointy, and her lips distract me. I know she's supposed to be this beautiful femme fatale, but all I can think is that she needs to eat about 20 sandwiches and lay off the collagen. I'm just not feeling her, but perhaps she and Fiona will grow on me.
Oh, and it's really discombobulating to hear Sharon Gless screeching "Michael!!" again. I keep expecting Hal Sparks to walk in.
