Corner of the Heart
With sadness in his eyes, Daesung watches SeungHyun. Daesung watches him smile, laugh, flirt with the girl as she lightly tosses her hair over her shoulders and smiles the most beautiful, loving smile he's ever seen. After SeungHyung's, of course. No one beats his smile.
Daesung watches as her hands dance over his. She intertwines them together. Perfect match.
He notices how, with every passing day, they seem to get closer and closer. He watches how SeungHyun falls madly in love with her.
Her. Not him. At least, not anymore.
Daesung aches inside, his heart in unimaginable pain. He he hides it. He hides it all so well.
He stays behind, keeping his love, his pain, his soul, his entire being locked deep inside the little box in the deepest corner of his heart. He then puts on his brightest smile, so he, everyone, won't see his pain, and his undying love for the other man.
He continues his watching. Sad eyes, half-forced smile. He gave in to the half of himself that is happy for SeungHyun, because he finally found someone to love and who loves him back just as much. And for some reason, he can't find himself to be jealous. He's numb, more than anything else.
Daesung shoves his hands in his hoodie pocket and silently slips out of the apartment. He didn't have the heart to watch them and their love anymore. He didn't notice the sad eyes that followed him as he walked out. SeungHyun stared at the closed door a little longer than he should have, he quickly looked away, erased any signs of sadness and replaced them with a warming smile and looked into the deep brown eyes of the one who now has his heart.
The girl with the long, beautiful brown hair.
He kisses her, thinking of him one last time and then finally, he lets go. Lets go, locks up, and forever hides the spot in his heart that only one person in the entire universe that could ever, would ever, be the one the fill up.
Daesung.
She may have his heart, but that corner of his heart will never belong to her.
Daesung walks off in the winter night, letting the pieces of his broken heart float away like silvery, illuminating butterflies.
Author's Note: So this came to me randomly last night. I was originally planning on leaving it off with the "She may have his heart..." line, but I can't get the image of the butterflies out of my head ever since I watched GD's Butterfly MV. Hmm, new inspiration maybe? ;) Thanks for spending your time reading this (:
