Did you guys miss me? My internet up and died on me for the past 5 days (I believe because Mr. Townes didn't pay the bills. *sighs* Parents...). In the downtime I was productive though. I'll start this post of though with my TILT for last week.
- Heather- I know that I've mentioned that I love Heather to pieces before, but I had so much fun hanging out with her Thursday and Friday that I had to mention it again. We've grown a lot closer over the past year or so. She's broken a lot of her personal walls and I've learned things about her that I would have never guessed. She is so talented yet, she doesn't want to pursue any of the things she's good at as she feels she won't be able to maintain the lifestyle she likes. *sighs* What can you do?
- The Evil Dead trilogy - I love older horror movies and I finally got around to watching the Evil Dead movies (well the first two at least. Now that I understand what is going on I can't find Army of Darkness anymore) this week. This movie has by far the grossest monster deaths EVER - exploding and shooting a rainbow of colors and stabbing and flying body parts and claymation scenes of bodies disintegrating....yucky yet made of yes. Also, Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite male horror actors after Tony Todd.
- Crepes - Thursday Heather and I went to Towson Mall and found out that there is a shop there that makes crepes. We aren't talking the thin kinda nasty ones from IHOP. These are delicious and sweet and.....*mind wanders off* Anyway, you can get either a sweet one with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and your choice of either chocolate, caramel or nutella on it or a savory with chicken, steak or spinach with onions, mushrooms and mozzarella. And then you can get a huge drink (which are dispensed from these pretty dispensers that have pieces of fruit placed prettily inside) for 95 cents and are totally delicious. I got a sweet crepe with chocolate and a pink lemonade. Yum yum yum!
- Fresh fruit and veggies - Mommy hadn't gone grocery shopping for a while so that we could use some of the food we had so that a) we could get rid of some of the not so healthy stuff since everyone is trying to get in better health and b) so she could clean the fridge. Well, the two of use finally went grocery shopping this week and now we have a ton of fruit and veggies - green peppers, plums, strawberries, raspberries, grapefruit, blueberries, bananas, carrots, romaine lettuce, spring mix, and I believe 3 types of apples. Needless to say, being the fruit fiend that I am, I am having a field day. Heather and I alone killed at least half the package of strawberries and I got her hooked on raspberries, which I like to place on each of my fingers and then eat off.
- Flying Avocado Cafe - It's a restaurant right behind the CCBC Owings Mills campus and it is amazing. Most if not all of their products are organic and/or free trade and are delicious. I had a banana blast smoothie from them the other day when I was out putting in more applications (still no bites) that had banana and pineapple in it and it was delicious and filling. Another pat on the back goes to them for using Greenware cups which are made of corn and are compostable as well as for offering me a job once August comes around.
Other than this stuff, I've almost finished my skirt (I'll probably finish it today or tomorrow), I've been playing Ninja Gaiden Black and kicking some serious boot-tay, and I was unable to order the Meta special set I wanted as, as I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I have had no internet access and I day I did (when I took Heather home and used hers) English orders were closed. *heavy sigh* Maybe, I use the money I drew out I'll get something from Baby or IW. There is a couple of things from both of those places that I've been eyeing up.
Well, that's all for now.
