Got a new tattoo yesterday, a cowgirl on my girly leg. My buddy Saul did it for me. It's an old Sailor Jerry design, full color, nice lines, Saul is such a pimp. Wasted a percodan though, we ended up doing it low on my leg instead of by my knee, it didn't really hurt at all. Oh well, I can always find more pain pills for the next one ( Read more... )

commercialism? maybe, i just think it's cool that there are some good bands on the line-up. just because a band becomes commercially acceptable doesn't necessarily mean they have sold out. good bands can become popular of their own accord i suppose. and it gives them exposure to potential new listeners. anything that allows people to hear more good music is not a bad thing. besides, look at what happened to rancid. they had a big commercial hit 10 years ago but they certainly haven't sold out, they remain true to their music. one of my tattoo artist friends was buddies with them when he worked in san francisco, he said their commercial success didn't change them, they could just afford to be crazy punks with cool toys now hehe.

yeah sure Rancid did well with the whole shit. But what if Dimmu doesn't? I just dont want them to do what Cradle of filth did. Have a bunch of 14 year olds running around thinking they are vampires, cutting themseleves, cuz "Dani Filth does it!" and i dont want Hot Topic getting a hold of any of their merch! fucking screwed then. I just like bands staying no name. It's better like that, i think. I mean they get money.. and for some reason all the bands i have liked, have gotten popular. well maybe not all of them, but anyway have got popular, get money and the music turns to shit.. *shrugs* oh well.
