A Swiss article about Fred Durst. I like the way they discribe him and the way they describe the way music effects him.
"He put together a playlist in his hotel-room in London to which he listened to with a lot of pleasure that night. The list is messed up but "who cares?" since he listens to music based on his mood. Often his emotional memories play a basic role for the musical satisfaction of his soul. Each of those songs has legitimation to be in this playlist but each of them put him into a very similar mental place.
What is his favorite song? He doesn't have one, neither does he have a favorite artist, because there are so many levels in him, which all need different music. He gets inspired by a big variety of genres and styles. Give the music a chance, before you bash with prejudices. It wouldn't bother him, if he would feel that his playlist is useless to you. He loves discovering new music and hopes that there are one or two songs that we/you discover the first time for ourself/yourself.
He assumes that there where the songs came from are still many more. He admits that he's addicted to putting together playlists. It's his first step to relax/recover. The journey through life continues, which would make no sense without music and without the ability to advance"
I relate to it. Just wanted to post it really.
God bless Fred Durst.
