So, I had my appt with the cardiologist this aft.
They did an EKG and a sonogram, all fine. My bp
was 130s/80s, normal for me.
My obgyn changed my bp meds from amlodipene to
aldomet/methydopa. Me and the methyldopa do NOT
like each other.
Took my last one last night at 11pm. An hour later
had to go to bed. Woke this am at about 10:30.
I was so weak legged I thought they'd come out from
under me anytime. Foggy headed, drugged feeliing,
and very sleepy.
Told this to the dr, and he basically wants me to go
the weekend w/o any bp meds, to see how I do this way.
He says that a bp of 150/90 is acceptable for pregnancy,
and it may be better to try this (no meds) than to
fiddle with my/babe's bp right now.
So I'm monitoring my bp this weekend, and am to go back
in Mon aft, and we'll take it from there.
Anyone heard of this, going w/o bp meds during pregnancy?
I have PCOS/hypothyroid/prediabetes/ITP (platelet disorder)
and have had HBP for several years, it's not something
that just came up. What do you think?
