Line 1... Living the Dream
Howdy Folks,
So with my last quick update I promised pictures of what I'd been doing. And I'll have them for you as soon as I can. Until then, let me just talk about what's happened.
So my last post was from the Production Office of "Bug". Well I was on my way home from the office the night before production was to begin, and I get a call from Ruth, the production coordinator. She says, "Hey Ben, I know you just left the office and all but I needed to ask you something." Ok. "Well I was just talking to Gary (One of the Producers) and he said he wanted some extra help on set tomorrow for the first day for sure. Can you do it?" I of course jump at the chance to work on the set for even one day. So I WAS ON SET for atleast one day.
So I go in the next morning. Do a lot of just general work, setting up stuff, moving stuff, switching on the A/C between takes, etc. Well then Gary comes up to Bond and I with a call sheet and says, "Ok. How do you spell your last name, because I'm going to move you guys from the Production office to here permenately." YES! He then switches our names on the call sheet and we're set to be on set for the duration.
But it doesn't end there. I get a phone call from the Production Office around 1:30 from Christine. She tells me Christa, the camera intern, is leaving to go do another show in Lake Charles. Then she offers me the camera intern position. This was awesome, so now I have a deffinate on set position for the complete shoot and I can learn stuff in the camera department, which I really wanted to do in the first place.
So today we wrapped. I'll post pictures with stories and stuff. Stories including Lis the 1st AC, Guy from 24, The Perkal brothers, Billy Friedkin and Lesbians, Ashley Judd's butt and almost burning down Grace King High School's Gym. Right now I'm in the Louis Armstrong International Airport waiting on my delayed flight to Atlanta, to go to Las Vegas.
