Today 61 years ago today JFK...was shot dead...i was 8 years old at the time..which RAF base i was living on at the time is unknown...did i even know at that time probably not...Televisions at that period simply sat in a corner with a glass of flowers on top...it was not an important part of life and children at that time were seen and not heard at the dinner table..eat your cabbage was the rule remember your grand fathers fought in the war....be grateful for what is on your plate.
Quite why i think on this day each year is also unknown...Would the world be fab now if the trigger had not been pulled, would we have an angry Putin..would the Jews and Muslims be trying to eat each others God vision...perhaps or perhaps not.
And he whom pulled the trigger is he still with us and a wonder what his thoughts on this day each year are. Life indeed...in rainy Northern England.
