she noticed
rainbow bubbles that bounced and refracted
off the lines of light that streamed
into the dark, cold bathroom with blue tiles
from the window above

she squinted
into the blurriness
in the midst of swirling headaches
and whirling in the confusion
of it all

she felt
a searing pain numbed
her entire body
that carved shadows
on the dark, cold floor with blue tiles

she panicked
and reached out to hold the counter
with hands that could cut the world
and herself

but all's too late
and all's too black
she's gone.
