According to the very first sentence of this (as seen via
the_blue_fenix et al.) I shouldn't be doing this:
Copy this sentence into your LiveJournal if you're in a heterosexual marriage, and you don't want it "protected" by the bigots who think that gay marriage hurts it somehow.
See, not being in a marriage of any sort, I apparently don't qualify. But I'm copying it anyway! So there! :-)
It continues (as will I):
I have the urge to sit one of these people down (it shouldnt' be hard to find one, they include most of my relatives and neighbors) and ask a few searching questions:
1. You understand that no one will be required to get into a gay marriage, only allowed to, right?
2. You understand that if EVERY gay person marries another gay person, that would still be about 5-10% of total marriages?
NOTE: The tag below is supposed to be "Let me not to marriage of true minds admit impediments" (from Shakepeare's sonnet CXVI, aka 116). but it got cut off.
3. You understand that if the gay people use up all the blank marriage licenses, the county/state/federal govt is allowed to print more?
4. So what business is it of yours?
