Bridge to nowhere: No. Bridge to her where: You bet!

According to this story, Sarah Palin does indeed want to build a $600 million bridge in Alaska. Just not that one, the one between the town of Ketchikan and nearby Gravina Island, with an airport that, without the bridge, can only be reached by ferry.

No surprise that the one she wants to build would go to her hometown, Wasilla! Which is not landlocked, just on a fjord. Which you could drive around in your Fjord, er, Ford, or Chevy, or whatever, and apparently people do, so the bridge would seem less urgent that the Ketchikan one. (Maybe Sarah drives a Dodge and wants to dodge the traffic. She's not having much luck dodging the flak, though.)

Solution for the people of Ketchikan and Gravina Island: elect your own Governor!
