How your count, er, Senator or Representative votes

(the entry title is of course a pun on the joke: "The difference between democracy and feudalism* is that in a democracy your vote counts, and in feudalism your Count votes.")

There's a website at CQPolitics.com, specifically at http://www.cqpolitics.com/cq-assets/cqmultimedia/flash/votestudy/index.html called Vote Studies Workbook. This has a table that will show you how all members of either the U.S. Senate or U.S. Representatives (for the current Congress, 2007-08) has voted in two general categories, "Pres. Support" and "Party Unity."

Yes, according to this, John McCain has "voted with the President" 90% of the time. Meanwhile, Obama's score in "Pres. Support" is 40; Biden's is 52. The senators from my state are at 52 (Byrd) and 53 (Rockefeller).

*Among fans of Lois McMaster Bujold, this is usually said of Beta Colony (American-style democracy) vs. Barrayar (which has counts, but strictly speaking not feudalism).
