It’s June! And a bumper month for Pride events around the UK. All of them worth a day excursion (or, for lucky locals, a quick trip to the end of the road).

I'm personally over-excited about Oxford - Saturday 6th June.

BTW would it be useful for me to write a short writeup of Brum Pride and how it went so folk can see how things happen after? There's a biMedia article already up and something's been sent to BCN.

That would be absolutely brilliant for Oxford, London, Swansea, Sheffield, Cardiff and Black Pride UK - for other events, I'm afraid I lack addresses/contacts. So do bung me as many as you'd like to spare (I have around 50 which I already pocketed.)

OOOH. I'm planning to be at Oxford. I don't know if we'll make it to the Village (is there a ticket to get into it? I can't work it out from the website) but I might talk to my companions about the banner possibility. What banner do you have? Do you know any other bi folks parading?

As far as I know there's no formal bi group in the parade, and anecdotally I don't know any marching bi folk (although there must be *some*).

I'm spraying the banner this evening, and it'll probably just say 'BI PRIDE', white on purple, about a metre and a half long. Poles can be provided. I'll also be producing some bi umbrellas - watch this space for pics - which I'd be happy to loan out if you want something more informal and easier to handle than a banner.

I also can't work out if the Village is ticketed, I'm afraid.

Banner not ready - sorry, wanted to make a better job of it than possible last week.

Let me know before I leave tomorrow, and I'll bung in an extra couple of umbrellas for you if you'd like them - if you send me a mobile number I can text you my locations in the morning. I have to go past the parade start-point (Ship Street 11am) to get to the Village.

I think bi umbrellas would be great! I might try phoning the Pride people about tickets. Though, surely, if it were ticketed they'd tell you somewhere how to buy a ticket, right?
