"Don't worry, I'll forgive you this time." Ryosuke said, laughing.
"Okay, then I guess I'll forgive you as well..." Aizawa said.
"Then... bye..." Ryosuke said again, turning around.
"Ah... wait..." Aizawa mumbled.
Suddenly Ryosuke felt a hand gripping his own, confused he looked at their hands and then at Aizawa. He couldn't believe that this slight touch already made his heart beat faster.
"I... want you to know something..."
"Y-yes?", replied Ryosuke and gulped.
"I really... you know..."
"Hm?"
"I enjoy... being with you... A lot, actually. And I hope this doesn't sound silly, but you're my first... friend... in years. So..."
As Ryosuke listened to Aizawa and his obviously honest feelings, he couldn't other but embrace him.
His feelings were overflowing in him and so he hugged him as tight as he could, closing his eyes for a little moment before whispering “Thank you”.
Then he let go instantly and rushed into his house.
In there he leaned his back against the door and sighed loudly, his hands trembling, his heart beating fast and his face all red.
He covered his face with one hand and sighed again.
He couldn't explain his sudden emotional outburst, but hearing Aizawa say such things just made him so happy…
But how would Aizawa react to that tomorrow at work? He was afraid that he might think weird of that or that it would drive him away again. Just when they had finally become friends...
This kind of thoughts floated through his head the whole evening, no matter what he did. If he ate, showered or read.
Finally he let himself fall down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. He began to think about the whole day. Aizawa's sad face, his tears and how he had searched for comfort.
After all, behind that stoic mask, there was an Aizawa whom hardly anyone knew. An Aizawa who was vulnerable and who needed someone... and maybe... who needed him...
Ryosuke rolled around scowling himself for that thought. “That's impossible!”, he shouted and threw a cushion against his door.
He was totally aware of the fact that he acted like a teenage boy, but right now he didn't care.
Suddenly his gaze fell on his hand. The one where Aizawa had stopped him from leaving just a few hours ago.
It felt like the skin was still prickling from the touch.
He didn't know what was happening to him anymore.
When had those feelings for the young doctor begun spreading in his heart? Since when had he hoped they could be more than just friends, even if it was already a miracle that they were at least that?
With all those questions in his head Ryosuke finally drifted off to dreamland.
The next day he was somewhat nervous as he made his way to the locker room. He hadn't seen Aizawa till now and was kind of relieved about that.
But as soon as he opened the door of the locker room all his good thoughts vanished and materialized into a bare-chested Aizawa, who was just changing into his uniform. He hadn't noticed Ryosuke yet, so Ryosuke turned around and closed the door again quietly. He leaned against the wall next to the door and took a deep breath. He still had that image in front of his eyes... those muscles and the skin of which he knew was so soft...
God, what the hell was wrong with him? He shook his head violently, shooing away all those improper thoughts.
With another deep breathe he turned around to the door again, finding Aizawa in it, already looking at him.
Ryosuke almost jumped in shock, but he somehow managed to keep is posture. He smiled, or at least tried and waved. “Ohayou...”
“Ohayou”, Aizawa answered. “Why aren't you coming in?”, he asked, frowning.
Ryosuke gulped. “Uhm... I just saw a spider on the door and-”
“Anway, you should hurry, the shift's starting soon”, Aizawa replied, a part of his mask on his face again.
“Ah you're right, sorry...”, mumbled Ryosuke, a bit hurt by the sudden coldness. Maybe he really thought weird about yesterday?
Ryosuke sighed... anyway... how did he come up with THAT excuse? It was so obviously a lie that it hit you right into the face.
Ryosuke hadn't recognized that Aizawa had returned to the locker room and was watching him now, until he turned around unconsciously, his uniform top still in his hands and his chest as bare as Aizawa's just a few moments ago.
Ryosuke felt like he had to say something about yesterday, so hesitantly, he walked towards the doctor.
"Uhm... you now about yesterday I a-"
While heading forwards Ryosuke had tripped over his own feet due to nervousness and was about to fall when Aizawa caught him just in time.
The student opened his out of shock closed eyes again and let his gaze wander up, processing what was just happening.
His face and Aizawa's were just inches away from another and he even could feel Aizawa's heated breath on his face.
His heart began to race and the feeling of Aizawa's strong arms around him didn't make it any better.
They stared at each other for several seconds like this until Aizawa helped him stand straight and turned around hurriedly.
"I- I'll go ahead...", he said and rushed out of the locker room, leaving Ryosuke heavily panting and bright red.
Confused he continued with changing his clothes when suddenly an unbearable pain rose in his head.
He let everything he had in his hands drop to the ground and even his knees gave in and he rushed down to them.
Soon the rest of his body followed and after a few seconds, in which he felt as if his head was going to explode, he lost consciousness.
